Enorm invloedrijk en een grote inspirator voor andere gitaristen, waaronder Brian May (Queen) en Peter Banks (Yes). Hij brak door als gitarist van Focus, had grote succesen met Brainbox en speelde met de grote der aarden als B.B. King en Charlie Byrd.

  7. Jan Akkerman were obviously on their classic albums. So this 1985 album is basically Focus updated for the 1980s. They included a bunch of musicians helping them out, so you get 1980s drum machines and Thijs van Leer, luckily still using his flute, but not the Hammond organ, but instead the Yamaha DX-7.
