Charles Hawtrey had asked Italia Conti to train the children to act in Where the Rainbow Ends. Doing this led to Conti's founding of her drama school, the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. In 1925, the academy moved to Lamb's Conduit Street. Bombing in May 1940 destroyed the building, and Conti faced a serious financial loss.

Once you have selected a stream – Acting, Dance or Musical Theatre, you will experience expert tuition in your chosen field from our experienced staff and industry experts.
Italia Conti in conjunction with The Stage newspaper offers applicants the opportunity to audition for a scholarship funded place on the Trinity Level 6, three-year diploma in Musical Theatre. Please indicate on your application form that you wish to apply for additional funding, ie The Stage Scholarship.
