  4. TRIO JEEPY swings with the authority only bassists of Hinton's caliber can command; he didn't get the nickname "The Judge" for nothing. His legacy is his sturdy time and huge, round sound. This is most apparent on "Three Little Words," where he employs his inimitable slap-bass technique.
