Corky Laing is a Canadian drummer, born January 28, 1948, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. His claim to fame is the two, American heavy blues rock bands he played in in the early 70s; Mountain and West, Bruce & Laing. He was vice president of A&R for Polygram Canada / Polygram Group Canada, 1989-1995.

11 de may. de 2021 · Corky Laing is the legendary drummer from Mountain. Laing has had a long and amazing career going back to the ’60’s in Montreal, where he was from. He would join Mountain by the end of the ’60s, playing on all the band’s classic albums, and continue on with the band when he and Leslie West reformed the band in the ’80s.
WEST, BRUCE & LAING (1972-74) Leslie West, Jack Bruce and Corky got together in London in January 1972 and the first night at the Island Studios was a thrill. West, Bruce & Laing came to be there and then. Unfortunately, the band was instantly taken over by the managers and the musicians were too stoned to understand what was going on.
21 de jul. de 2022 · Ebenso wie bei der CD war es eben nicht Mountain, sondern Corky Laing’s Mountain. Die Drei boten erstklassige Unterhaltung und sind mir in weitaus besserer Erinnerung als Leslie West’s Mountain in Hamburg 1992, damals auch mit Richie Scarlet, allerdings am Baß.
