Oak Park and River Forest High School, a public four-year comprehensive high school, is located nine miles west of downtown Chicago and has a spirited student population of 3,381. We are proud of our academic achievements, our athletic accomplishments and our diverse school community. Founded in 1873, we are rich in history and tradition.

Oak Park and River Forest High School offers a wide range of roughly 250 classes to meet a variety of needs, including graduation requirements, exploration of individual interests, performance opportunities, academic support, and college credit.
Our Student Services division includes our counselors, deans, and social workers. Each student has an assigned counselor, who is part of a Pupil Support Services team, or PSS for short. The primary goal of the PSS team is to help students succeed in school academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

We offer more than 200 courses, a variety of programs for students with special needs, 90 clubs and activities, and 29 competitive sports. We prepare our students well for post-secondary success, with an average ACT composite score of 24 and a 94% graduation rate. Oak Park and River Forest are communities that highly value diversity.
