Warren Zevon pudo debutar en formato LP en 1969 como cantante tras haber trabajado como compositor previamente (por ejemplo para los Turtles).Su debut pasó sin pena ni gloria y estancó su trayectoria discográfica hasta mediados de la década de los 70, período en el que grabó “Warren Zevon” (1976), un álbum producido por Jackson Browne en Asylum Records que es reeditado en la actualidad.
