Fine collection of tracks both blues and rock that is very well played and a good add to your collection. The reference to Yardbird is correct is the singular as only Jim McCarty is present to represent the Yardbirds group.
Einzig Slim Harpo's eher schnarchnasig tönendes "Scratch my back" - der Track fehlt signifikanterweise auf der 2015er Neuauflage der Scheibe - und die monotone Diddley-Nummer "Diddley Daddy" fallen gegen den Rest der Titel ab. Ob es sich bei "The Chicago Blues Tapes 1991" um eine "enorme Bereicherung für die Pretty Things- und Yardbirds-Sammlung" (Good Times 1/1992) handelt, sei dahingestellt.
