Le prime due – che compongono il lato A – in origine costituivano, invertite nella sequenza, l'album Under Heavy Manners ossia metà del disco God Save the Queen/Under Heavy Manners, del 1980: la traccia God Save the King in particolare è il brano The Zero of the Signified con un nuovo assolo di chitarra sovrainciso nel 1983.
National, Patriotic, and Typical Airs of All Lands. [Remember O Thou Man] is the air on the ground of which God Save the King Is sometimes claimed for Scotland. It is in two strains of 8 bars each and has the rhythm and melody of the modern tune in the first and third bars of the second strain. But it is in minor.
Revised version of the God Save The Queen / Under Heavy Manners album of 1980 and The League Of Gentlemen (1981). A1: Released in its original form as "The Zero Of The Signified"; the Frippertronics were improvised in Concert at Madame Wong's, Los Angeles, second piece, first house, on July 25th 1979.
