Claudia Miriam Gonson (born April 5, 1968) is an American musician best known for her work with The Magnetic Fields. She often provides the band lead vocals as well as performing the piano or drums. She is also the band's manager.
Claudia Gonson is very much the energy that propels Stephen Merritt. Besides being a frequent music collaborator, she juggles between drums, keyboards, and vocals. She sets the scenes and moods needed in Merritt’s songs.

Claudia Gonson is the manager for The Magnetic Fields and all of Stephin Merritt ‘s projects. Gonson met Merritt in high school in the ’80s, and the pair have been working together ever since.
