Carla Olson. Los Angeles-based songwriter, performer and producer who was born & raised in Austin, Texas. Olson moved to Los Angeles, California in 1978 where she formed The Textones, whose debut album Midnight Mission entered the Billboard 200. Olson has received critical acclaim for her work as a solo performer, band leader, and producer.

Cedar Creek appeared in 1987 on a new label, Enigma Records, and Carla Olson, George Callins, Joe Read, and Tom Junior Morgan were joined by new drummer Rick Hemmert—and they didn’t miss a beat.
The Textones. Southern California power pop / roots rock band formed in 1978 by Carla Olson and future Go-Go's bassist Kathy Valentine. The Textones continued with various lineups until the late 1980s, when they disbanded due to Olson’s health issues. The Textones began recording together again in 2012.
