Joey Molland's latest album comes some twelve years after his last one, and it has to be his best collection of his songs yet. Joey deserves much greater recognition for not only keeping the Badfinger flag flying, but for his own songwriting skills as well.

Molland’s voice even sounds tired here and there, but then again similar material would no doubt squeeze the guts out of a singer 20 years younger too. On other hand, “Return to Memphis” isn’t short of hummable melodies, married with skilfully controlled energy and zip that tell of an album of colourful proportions which means no worries for Joey Molland.
He’s got a new documentary called ‘Liverpoool to Memphis’ premiering on April 21st at CIMMfest in Chicago and a new CD out shortly entitled ‘Return to Memphis’on Gonzo Records. Molland will also be embarking on a world tour including a stop in his hometown of Liverpool to headline International Beatleweek August 21st thru 27th.
