29 de oct. de 1993 · "Fatal Instinct" also has undertones, but not very comic ones. It's a strange thing about the parody genre: Some of these movies work ("Airplane!," "Top Secret!) and some don't. And you can't say why, except that sometimes you laugh, and sometimes you don't, and the reasons for that are not arguable.

Unfortunately, Fatal Instinct has a higher fail rate in the joke department, despite having some inspired bits of silly business* sprinkled throughout and a fully committed Armand Assante performance. Part of the problem stems from Carl Reiner’s approach to the material.
The effective (if not quite serious) jazz score is performed by Clarence Clemons, who appears onscreen during crucial plot moments to toot his sax.
