Information about King Edward VII School held in the Heritage Group archives . It was built in 1908 by the Lytham Schools Foundation to school 200 boys. In 1999 Queen Mary School was merged with the adjacent King Edward VII School for Boys. In 2001 the Governors announced that the Queen Mary building was no longer required and offered it for sale. Despite being listed in December 2001 as “one of the best of its kind”, this landmark community building is now in danger of being all but destroyed by residential housing development.

Queen Mary School was erected at Fairhaven (on part of the old Fairhaven Golf Club links) on Clifton Drive, alongside Kin Edward VII School.
