With the resurgence of German heavy metal folk music in the mid 1990's, Von Trapp went on tour opening for such bands as The Lederhosen Five and Bavarian punk band Zwiebelschnitzel. In 2004, they called it quits. The siblings were by now in their late 70's and 80's and no longer had the chops for life on the road.
