  2. 5 de may. de 2024 · De twee langste nummers leunen op de sound van Astral Weeks, zonder ook maar in buurt van kopieen te komen, en de rest haalt zijn inspiratie uit de andere Van Morrison albums. Het enige iets mindere nummer vind ik Gypsy. Het roept wat teveel Lenny Kuhr gevoelens op om echt prettig naar te luisteren.

  4. 11 de may. de 2024 · Dit album kocht ik omdat de naam Van Morrison toch een zekerheidje is. En het bleek inderdaad een schot in de roos, een van zijn betere albums. Samen met Veedon Fleece, Moondance, No Guru en Astral Weeks. Astral Weeks is echt buitencategorie, deze komt in de buurt. Vooral "When Heart Is Open" is werkelijk een subliem nummer. Kippevelmoment.

One of the magazine's reviewers, Greil Marcus, wrote that "Astral Weeks" was rich in "myths and metaphors" and compared it to Bob Dylan's "John Wesley Harding."
