My second favorite song on "Turbulent Indigo" (after "The Magdalene Laundries"). Sadly, it just keeps getting more and more true as years pass. The musical setting is just gorgeous, though: the brightness of Joni's acoustic guitar (it sounds like she's using brand new strings) blends perfectly with the richer, rounder tones of the bass and the pedal steel. 9/10.

My friend MJ had her music, and lying on his bed in the attic, we listened until I couldn't stand it any longer and asked if the music could be turned off. But despite my non-love for her former voice, I love her lyrics. She can write.
