Originally formed as a psychedelic rock and progressive rock band, they shifted to a heavier sound with their 1970 album Deep Purple in Rock.
Hace 11 horas · I myself have NEVER seen the band live, but I think my dad might have, as he was a teenager when the band first hit it big (and if you are wondering, he and my mom were both born in 1968), and it was probably at a venue in the NYC area, as my dad was a regular concert goer before I was born in 1999, and he and my mom were both born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey.
