Hace 4 días · The Leipzig Bach Archive was founded on November 20, 1950 to mark the occasion of Johann Sebastian Bach’s 200th death anniversary. The purpose of the Bach Archive was to gather the sources and documents about the life and works of the Cantor of St. Thomas’s, which were strewn all over the city of Leipzig, and to preserve them for the future.
