Fountain Valley School of Colorado was founded in 1929 by Elizabeth Sage Hare, who believed that a boarding school dedicated to traditional standards of excellence and progressive ideals of individual dignity and creative promise would thrive in the great American West. The School opened as a boarding school for boys in September of 1930.

Fountain Valley Police founding members included 14 Officers, 4 dispatchers and 1 records clerk. These personnel provided police services for 19,000 residents. Since those early days the Fountain Valley has grown to a population of approximately 55,000 with a supporting Police Department of 91 personnel, including 62 officers and 29 non-sworn employees.
30 de may. de 2015 · Bob Weir, Fountain Valley School Class of 1965, receives an honorary diploma from Fountain Valley School of Colorado on May 230, 2015. He gave a touching acceptance speech and later gave a surprise performance for guests during the School's 85th Anniversary Alumni Weekend.
