Trivia. Father of Seb Byford and Steph Byford. His first studio appearance was in 1971 when he played a flute and wrote a few of the songs on the self titled debut album by psychedelic rockers Jumble Lane. He produced a 2-song 1988 demo for the Sheffield melodic rock band Tygerzye . Active Bands.

Im November 2021 waren SAXON in Deutschland auf dem Metal Hammer Paradise an der Ostsee zu erleben. Kurz nach Byfords 71. Geburtstag liegt das neue Werk „Carpe Diem“ in den Plattenläden. Biff Byford. Soundtrack: Demons. Peter 'Biff' Byford is a British vocalist for the heavy metal band Saxon. Born on 5 January 1951, in Barnsley, Yorkshire, Byford formed a group with guitarists Graham Oliver and Paul Quinn, bassist Steve Dawson and drummer Pete Gill in 1976. Prior to this, Byford had been the vocalist with Blue Condition from about 1970.
