Denholm Mitchell Elliott was born in London, England, the son of Myles and Nina Elliott. Educated at Malvern College, he began training at the Royal Academy of Art but dropped out shortly before World War II. While serving as a radio operator and gunner with the Royal Air Force, his plane was downed near Sylt, Germany.

1 de ene. de 1996 · I am forever grateful to Denholm Elliott's late wife, Susan, for writing this biography about his truly unique and amazing life. I'll preface this review by stating that I am indeed biased, having been a fan of Denholm's for so many years. However, I cannot abide poor writing no matter how much I love the subject matter. This is an excellent read.
