Jesus College is a community of more than 1000 members from across the University, including around 500 undergraduates, 400 graduates and research associates, and over 100 Fellows. All of these are supported by more than 150 staff members.. Most Fellows divide their time between University teaching (mostly lectures), College teaching duties (supervisions) and their own research.
Founded in 1571, the College retains many of its original features – including our beautiful Elizabethan dining hall (below), Chapel, and Principal’s Lodgings. Jesus College was one of the first men’s colleges to admit women, in 1974, but nowadays, our student intake is evenly balanced between men and women.
