About time sluit wel wat aan bij de topper Groundhog Day (Film, 1993). Iets minder kolderiek weliswaar, maar wel één waarbij ook (die typische Britse) humor aanwezig is en het romantische gedeelte ook de nodige aandacht krijgt. Geen romcom pur sang, daarvoor is hij toch te serieus en biedt het verhaal voldoende draagkracht.
