Elvin Richard Bishop, [2] född 21 oktober 1942 [2] i Glendale, Kalifornien, [3] är en amerikansk blues- och rockmusiker, gitarrist och sångare. Han växte upp på en farm nära Elliott, Iowa. Familjen flyttade till Tulsa, Oklahoma då Elvin var 10 år.
Biografia. Bishop è nato in California, ma è cresciuto prima in Iowa e poi, dall'età di dieci anni, in Oklahoma. Nei primi anni '60 si è trasferito a Chicago, dove ha incontrato l'armonicista Paul Butterfield, con cui ha collaborato per alcuni anni come membro della sua Blues Band..
