Brian Eno's second album, Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) sheds much of the punk attributes that the previous album, Here Come The Warm Jets had, but retains much of the same feeling. The band is fairly static on this one, and mostly features the guitars of Phil Manzanera , giving this one a sound similar to 801 .
'Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)' is surely one of Eno's most distinct albums, assisted by a stellar prog-rock cast of Soft Machine's Robert Wyatt plus Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay of his former group Roxy Music. It was on this album that Eno developed his system of pre-determined options for the creative process which he still uses today.
