LOL. They may be hard but they're not at all impossible. I think it is possible, however it is very hard because you have to avoid the spikes and the other things and you lose time doing that. If you do not avoid them, you will probably end up underwater, which makes the things worse as sonic is slowed down.
Look I'll defend the gamegear sonic titles to the end. But for those of you complaining about Sonic Labyrinth zone and calling it the worst zone ever, you've clearly never played the same zone on the gamegear. Everything that made the zone annoying on the genesis is greatly amplified in the gamegear version.
