S3 was a weird season. Lots of people thought it felt like more of a generic Disney blockbuster movie than Stranger Things. Hopper and the Russians were both portrayed in a cartoonish way. The Russians laughed hilariously at their own stupid jokes and seemed like they were written for a CW sitcom.
