But he did not believe it until he was inside the castle. Even the bodies of those other Princes caught in the thorns of the rose vines that covered the walls had not made him believe it.
I expected a retelling of Sleeping Beauty not "Smug guy breaks into castle, rapes princess and continuously degrades and objectifies her for 253 pages.' Can't imagine books 2-3 being much different. TLDR: This book disgusted me on multiple levels and made me feel dirty for spending my money on a book of rape.
