19 de ago. de 2021 · The latest POWER version enhances its distribution systems to provide the latest NASA EO source data, be more resilient, support users more effectively, and provide data more efficiently. The update will include hourly-based source Analysis Ready Data (ARD), in addition to enhanced daily, monthly, annual, and climatology ARD.
The most prominent change is that POWER provides data at the underlying data source's grid resolution. So, changes in the values are to be expected: For meteorology-based parameters, we are no-longer using bilinear interpolation to put the source data on a common 0.5 x 0.5 degree grid as it was in Data Version 801 (to enhance traceability).
The data can be obtained on an hourly, daily, monthly, and annual time scale from 1980 to the present, being, therefore, sufficiently accurate for reliable solar and meteorological measurements (Marzouk, 2021 MARZOUK, O.A.
