27 de abr. de 2017 · I think Dynasty is one of Kiss’ weaker albums. I Was Made and Sure Know Something are both throwaways, in my book. Never liked them and I never will. Ace ruled the album and it needs to be said that all of Ace’s songs are recorded the same way he recorded his solo album, Ace on vocals, all guitars and bass and Fig on drums.

"Dynasty" was their 7th album, and at this point, the band was looking (and feeling) like a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces gone. And yet somehow Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss did it.

Dynasty is the album at the beginning of KISS' commercial struggle era or the trend following era. The classic era ended with the solo albums and at this point in 1979 the band was fractured. Peter Criss only appears on his own song Dirty Livin' and Ace plays bass and rhythm guitar on all his own songs.
