Estudou Moda em Lyon e o amor pela indústria foi uma constante na sua vida, uma vez que os avós eram fabricantes de seda. Antes de dar início à sua carreira na Chanel, trabalhou como assistente de Dominique Borg, reconhecida figurinista.
