Camille Pissarro, geboren als Jacob Abraham Pizarro (Charlotte Amalie, 10 juli 1830 – Parijs, 12 november 1903) was een Frans impressionistisch kunstschilder.Pissarro was altijd op zoek naar nieuwe vormen en werd zo een van de meest vernieuwende onder de impressionisten.

Camille Pissarro was born at Charlotte Amalie in the Danish West Indies (since 1917 the US Virgin Islands), a colony in the Danish Colonial Empire. His parents were Abraham Gabriel Pissarro, a Portuguese Sephardic Jew, and Rachel Manzano-Pomie, from the Dominican Republic.
