Scott James Forstall (born 28 August 1969) is an American software engineer, known for leading the original software development team for the iPhone and iPad. By all accounts, he had a singular ability to distil down a myriad of options to a few he knew, at least one of, Jobs would approve. That skill alone made him invaluable to everyone else working on the the Purple Experience Project.
A former technology industry executive, Scott Forstall has co-produced multiple award-winning Broadway stage productions, including Hadestown (2019), Eclipsed (2016), and Fun Home (2015). Forstall co-produced the latter two with his wife, Molly. Fun Home is the musical adaptation of acclaimed cartoonist Alison Bechdel’s 2006 graphic memoir.
