Nicola James 'Jim' Capaldi was a highly esteemed British musician and songwriter who spent over four decades in the industry. He rose to fame when he co-founded Traffic with Steve Winwood, crafting memorable songs and albums that are still celebrated today. It's no surprise then that Jim Capaldi was tabbed for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Traffic's original lineup.
Let The Thunder Cry marked a return to more familiar sonic territory, following the experimentation on Jim’s recent releases. It was hailed both for its intelligent lyrical comment on social issues, and some of his strongest material in a while. His growing confidence as a singer is a thrill to behold.

The international release of Jim’s 1978 album was his debut for Polydor, and found him flexing his musical muscles with the occasional nod to the dancefloor, and a cover of Brian Hyland’s “Sealed With A Kiss”. The title song soundtracked the film of the same name by Kevin O’Neal.
