Vanessa Rubin (vocalist) offers a tribute to one of the most innovative arrangers, leaders and songwriters of the 1940s era, Tadd Dameron. Joined by an all-star horn section for the “Dameron Sound,” Rubin and music director Cecil Bridgewater will offer newly commissioned transcriptions of Dameron's works by his contemporaries Benny Golson, Jimmy Heath, and Frank Foster.
