In May 2003 Donaghy released the single "Nothing but Song" under Shanghai Nobody, an anagram of her name. In 2003 she released her first album on her own, Revolution in Me as Siobhán Donaghy. Her second album Ghosts was released in 2007. It got good reviews from music critics. In 2011 the Sugababes started again with the name Mutya Keisha Siobhan.
Siobhan Donaghy is one of the three founding members of the Sugababes (with Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena).After 2001 she left the band and pursued a solo career. While signed to London Records she wrote her début solo album Revolution In Me with Cameron and Marlon McVey, which was released in September 2003. The first single from the album was Overrated which made it's way into the UK top 20.

After Donaghy was introduced to Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan at a party, the trio decided to form a group, and in 1999 they were signed to London Records as Sugababes. The group released its critically acclaimed debut album, One Touch, in 2000, which included the hit singles "Run for Cover," "New Year," and "Overload," a nominee for Best British Single at the 2001 Brit Awards.
