It is the combination of all types of ecosystems on Earth which integrates all the biological communities and their interactions or relationships with the environment. Biosphere. The Biosphere, also known as the Montreal Biosphere, is a museum dedicated to the environment in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is housed in the former United States pavilion constructed for Expo 67 located within the grounds of Parc Jean-Drapeau on Saint Helen's Island. The museum's geodesic dome was designed by Buckminster Fuller .
Biosphere reserves are organised into three geographical zones, known as core areas, buffer zones and transition areas. Core areas are protected by law, e.g., nature reserves, Natura 2000 or National Parks.; Buffer zones surround or interconnect core areas. Activities and use of resources in these areas must be consistent with protection in the core areas.
