Gerry Arling and Richard Cameron first got together in 1994, when they threw a so-called "Easy Tune" series of parties in Amsterdam; singles culled from the shows were released on Cameron's own Drive-In label, and a compilation, The Best of Easy Tune, was issued in 1996.

Arling & Cameron return after a long hiatus (as well as, if the liner notes are to be believed, a terrible injury) with _Hi-Fi Underground_. And while it starts off with the catchy synth-pop that has always dominated their albums, the first few track feel a little wan compared to their earlier output.
