13 de dic. de 2022 · Virunga is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its spectacular biodiversity, with over 2,000 plant species, 706 bird species, and nearly 200 reptile and amphibian species. The park is also home to a diverse array of fauna and flora, including over 200 mammal species and a third of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
Le Parc National des Virunga est l’un des endroits les plus riches en biodiversité d’Afrique. Il abrite plus de 200 espèces de mammifères, dont des éléphants de forêt et de savane, des hippopotames, des okapis, des lions et des gorilles de montagne.
