The Secret of NIMH is a beautiful, sometimes terrifying, animated feature. It deserves credit for its exploration of mature themes (particularly animal experimentation) and refreshing for the time protagonist - a mother who gets sucked into the adventure but is primarily concerned with trying to save her child.
