Richard (Rick) Linklater (Houston, 30 juli 1960) is een Amerikaans filmregisseur, scenarioschrijver en acteur.. Carrière. Samen met Lee Daniel, met wie hij regelmatig samenwerkte, richtte Linklater in 1985 de Austin Film Society op.
