25 de abr. de 2012 · Gottlieb Daimler, paired with Designer Wilhelm Maybach, arguably gave the world its first motorcycle and its first four-wheeled car. Battling his former employer, Nikolaus August Otto, in both commerce and the courts, Daimler produced engines that were sought all over the world. Committed to powering vehicles of all kinds, he continued to make innovations, many of which we still use today.
The pioneers of automobile manufacture towards the end of the 19th century were Gottlieb Daimler (1834-1900) and Carl Benz (1844-1929). They set up the predecessor companies which merged to form Daimler-Benz AG in 1926 – Daimler with his Daimler Motorengesellschaft (DMG) and Benz with his Rheinische Gasmotorenfabrik.
11 de may. de 2018 · Gottlieb Daimler was born on March 17, 1834, at Schorndorf near Stuttgart. He attended a technical school (1848-1852) in Stuttgart while serving as a gunsmith's apprentice. After 4 years (1853-1857) at a Strassburg steam engine factory, he completed his training as a mechanical engineer at the Stuttgart Polytechnic.
Gottlieb Daimler was born on March 17, 1834. in Schorndorf, Germany. Through a succession of different jobs from gunsmith to engineer, Daimler became involved in the development of internal-combustion engines. By 1883 Gottlieb and his associate Wilhelm Maybach had developed the first small high speed engine, fueled by a petroleum fraction known as ligroin.
Nachdem Gottlieb Daimler 1882 die Gasmotorenfabrik nach Differenzen mit der Geschäftsleitung verlassen hatte, erwarb er in der Cannstatter Taubenheimstraße eine Villa. Das zugehörige Gewächshaus ließ Daimler umgehend durch einen Anbau erweitern und richtete eine eigene Versuchswerkstatt ein.
