16 de sept. de 2015 · Dr Jan Arnold's husband, New Zealand mountaineer Rob Hall, died on Mt Everest in 1996 in a brutal storm which claimed the lives of eight climbers. Dr Arnold, pregnant with their daughter Sarah at the time, spoke to her husband via satellite phone from her home in Christchurch just before his death on the world's highest mountain.
