Jane Adams (born 1960 in Leicester) is a British writer of psychological thrillers, and has published more than thirty novels.. Her first book, The Greenway, was nominated for a John Creasey Award in 1995 and received an Authors' Club Best First Novel Award. Adams has a degree in sociology, was once lead vocalist in a folk rock band and is married with two children.

Jane Addams, conhecida como "a mãe do trabalho social" (Cedarville, 6 de setembro de 1860 — Chicago, 21 de maio de 1935) foi uma pioneira ativista, assistente social, socióloga, filósofa, feminista, pacifista e reformadora estadunidense, a segunda mulher a ganhar o Prêmio Nobel da Paz. [1] Em 1889 co-fundou a Hull House junto de Ellen Gates Starr, que se tornaria um dos maiores do país.
