James Byron Dean (født 8. februar 1931, død 30. september 1955) var en amerikansk skuespiller. Som lovende skuespiller rakk han kun å spille i tre større filmer før han i en alder av 24 år døde i en bilulykke i nærheten av Cholame i California. Etter sin død ble Dean gjenstand for idoldyrkelse.
