25 de jun. de 2022 · Lanegan die al als een kat met 9 levens door het leven ging heeft ons veel fraais nagelaten, zijn in mijn ogen laatste worp; Straight Songs of Sorrow doet daar niets aan af. Mark's stem kwam wat mij betreft altijd het beste tot uitdrukking in een semi-akoestische setting, waarbij zijn diepe vocalen je meenamen in een wereld van eenzaamheid, cynisme, vertwijfeling en de hardheid van het bestaan.
