Named after our foundress Dame Joyce Frankland. She founded the school in 1588 for the ‘love I bear to learning’ and was passionate about having a school to educate local students. I wanted you to be aware that one of the Stephenson’s buses (446) was involved in an incident as they brought students to Joyce Frankland Academy and Saffron Walden County High School this morning. While the full details are being investigated, we are aware that the bus roof was damaged as it struck a tree branch.
