19 de sept. de 2019 · One more post in honor of Gary. This clip is from a video shot in 1985 in San Francisco and is another song from some of the early shows with the California lineup. Leading up to an instrumental song called “The Dash”, Gary and Scott would perform a bass and drum solo. This will give you an idea of Gary’s talent and mastery of his instrument.
Gary Strater was a singular talent who is very much missed. However, his deep and intricate bass lines and soaring vocal harmonies are gifts that forever belong to us all through Starcastle's inspired music.

Sadly, founding member Gary Strater passed away three years before the album was released. # 3 – Elliptical Seasons “Elliptical Seasons,” was released on the album Fountains Of Light.

Gary Strater was a music master, spiritual being, deep thinker, kind hearted human and one of quick wit! Sadly Gary lost a battle with cancer in 2004. He is missed every day and the world lost a true genius when he went on to fly with the angels! Gary Dale Strater (R.I.P. 01/14/53 – 09/19/04)
