TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Bob Bogle, lead guitarist and co-founder of the rock band The Ventures, known for 1960s instrumental hits including "Walk, Don't Run," has died at age 75.
Bob Bogle, who was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma in 1934 but raised in Portland, Oregon, enjoyed playing football and motorcycle racing, but was resigned to working as a bricklayer.

A rock-and-roll guitarist and co-founder of The Ventures, Robert Lenard “Bob” Bogle was born on January 16, 1934, to Adolphus and Elvia Hutton Bogle near Wagoner, Oklahoma. The 1930s Depression-era travails led Bogle’s father to sell his farm equipment and animals and move to California.
