26 de ago. de 2021 · Nach dem Abgang des singenden Bassisten und maßgeblichen STONE THE CROWS-Inspirators JIM DEWAR bestimmten nun hauptsächlich Sängerin MAGGIE BELL und Gitarrist LES HARVEY die Geschicke der Band.Noch dazu hatte man mit dem dritten Album „Teenage Licks“ auch verkaufstechnisch einen echten Erfolg erzielt, sodass es aus Sicht der Musiker gerne so weiter gehen sollte.
Stone the Crows was a tough-luck, working class, progressive soul band that came out of the pubs of Scotland in the early '70s. They had everything going for them at the start: not one, but two gritty singers, a talented guitarist, a rhythm section that had played with John Mayall, and the name recognition of having Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant as their producer.
This double CD set features all the original tracks from the albums Teenage Licks and Ontinuous Performance…plus four additional live bonus tracks. Guitarist Les Harvey died during the recording of Ontinuous Performance and was replaced by McCulloch. But the band never really recovered from the loss and eventually abandoned ship.
